Les Antilles de Jonzac: an octagonal stainless steel spa for an aquatic center
- Location
- Les Antilles de Jonzac aquatic center (17)
- Client type
- Public establishment
- Work
- Custom-made octagonal 316L stainless steel overflow spa
- Features
- Recessed octagonal tub, peripheral overflow grille, hydromassage benches
At the Les Antilles de Jonzac aquatic center, Steel and Style installed an octagonal stainless steel spa. Its chamfered shape, overflow grille, and water surface flush with the tiles meet the requirements of a public venue.
A custom-designed octagonal shape
The spa was first modeled by our design office. The 3D model allowed us to define the octagonal shape, the position of the benches, and the hydromassage system before manufacturing.

The tub was then manufactured in our workshops, in 316L stainless steel, with the piping integrated into the structure.
Installation in the aquatic center
The tub was placed in a floor recess, then connected and leveled with the tiles. The stainless steel overflow grille runs around the pool.

Overflow flush with the floor
The water is flush with the tiles and flows under the peripheral grille. The spa has no high rim: the water surface extends the floor of the room.

A spa for your aquatic center or hotel? We study your project from the plans.
A spa designed for a public establishment
In a public establishment, the spa must withstand high usage and water treatment that complies with ARS requirements. 316L stainless steel, with no joints or applied coating, is easy to clean and withstands this intensive use.

Our hotel and public establishment pool guide details the constraints to anticipate, and our water treatment and filtration guide explains the solutions adapted to stainless steel.
The result
An octagonal spa that blends into the tiled floor of the aquatic center. For another stainless steel spa, see the Roquebrune spa.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions about Stainless Steel Spas in Public Establishments
Is a stainless steel spa suitable for a public establishment?
Yes. 316L stainless steel withstands high usage and water treatment that complies with ARS requirements.
Can you choose the shape of a stainless steel spa?
Yes. Each spa is custom-made: round, square, octagonal, or freeform, depending on the room layout.
What is an overflow spa?
The water is flush with the edge and flows into a channel covered by a grille. The water surface is flush with the floor.
Can the spa be recessed into an existing floor?
Yes, if a recess is planned. Our design office defines the depth and connections with the project management team.
What water treatment is suitable for a stainless steel spa in a public establishment?
Regulated chlorine treatment, compliant with ARS requirements. Salt electrolysis is not compatible with our stainless steel pools.
